Clients & Projects: Technology Scouting

Much of our work revolves around partnerships and consortia we help establish; indeed, we believe that collaboration is one of the keys to success in digital working. In some of our work however, the brokering of business is itself the core service. We have brokered successful collaborations for small UK companies in the news technology, speech synthesis, social gaming and 3D TV areas with clients in the UK and overseas. Here is just one example of our work in this area.

Relationship brokerage in the video games sector

Prince Edward Island is the most easterly of the Canadian provinces, and Anglophone. Following the launch of several initiatives to encourage digital content companies to move to the Province, Technology PEI asked us to set up meetings between them and leading UK games developers during the games conference season in the late summer of 2007. Drawing on our extensive contacts in the games sector, we were able to effect a series of fruitful meetings for the organisation. So much so that they approached us again in early 2010 to repeat the exercise.
